It appears in the moments most people never witness. I have seen staff rush to a widow’s side on an ordinary weekday when her world suddenly collapsed. I have seen mothers walk into the office in tears, desperate for prayer because their teenager was facing pressures, anxiety, or thoughts they were afraid to confront alone.

I have watched pastors gather around someone in their final moments on earth, praying with a tenderness that comes only from answering God’s call. I have seen staff walk through empty rows before an event, quietly asking God to encounter the person who would sit in each seat. I have seen our team rearrange their entire day to help an elderly couple after a hurricane, clearing fallen trees so they would not face the aftermath alone.

There are late nights after Saturday events when staff stay to clean the building and prepare for Sunday. There are evenings when production teams run sound checks long after everyone has gone home to ensure excellence for the next morning. And every Sunday, before the sun rises, our worship and production teams arrive early, pouring their hearts into preparing for the services ahead. These moments never make announcements or social media posts, yet they reveal the true heart of our leaders. People who say yes to God, whether anyone sees it or not.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13, Paul is not offering a polite suggestion. He is revealing a spiritual truth. Pastors and staff carry a weight most will never see. They steward souls, walk into spiritual battles with families, and lead the church through crisis and celebration. Their calling requires them to stay aligned with God so they can lead others toward Him.

When Paul says they “work hard among you” and “care for you in the Lord,” he is acknowledging the emotional, spiritual, and mental load they carry. And when he speaks of them “admonishing” the church, he is describing loving guidance that protects, strengthens, and redirects people toward God’s best.

As we continue these 21 Days of Prayer, intentionally cover your pastors and staff in prayer. They need God’s strength, clarity, and protection as they faithfully care for others. A simple message, prayer, or word of encouragement can breathe life into someone who pours out so much. When we hold our leaders in love, the whole church becomes stronger.

← Previous

Back to Day 1 →

Title Goes Here

This is where the description goes.

Title Goes Here

This is where the description goes.

Title Goes Here

This is where the description goes.

Title Goes Here

This is where the description goes.

My parents didn’t just talk about faith — they lived it. I remember the prayers before meals, the worship music playing while we cleaned the house, and how every big or small decision often began with the words, “You should pray about it.” Those simple rhythms of faith became a foundation that shaped who I am today. Even now, when I talk with my mom, she gently reminds me, “I think you should pray about that before you do it.” Her words echo the legacy of faith that continues to guide me.

Joshua’s declaration in Joshua 24:15 wasn’t made from a place of perfection. He wasn’t claiming a flawless home or a family that never struggled. He was declaring a priority. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” was a commitment — a choice to make God the foundation of their home no matter what the world around them was choosing. Joshua set a spiritual tone for his family: We belong to God, and everything we do begins with Him.

Throughout Scripture, God reminds us that He desires to be more than just a part of our lives — He wants to be the cornerstone everything else is built upon. Psalm 127:1 says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” When God is first, everything else aligns around Him. Our marriages find strength in His love, our families experience peace through His presence, and our homes become places of refuge and purpose.

The world constantly shifts its definition of what a family should be or how priorities should be arranged. But God’s truth never changes. Proverbs 3:5–6 calls us to trust in Him with all our hearts and acknowledge Him in all our ways — and He promises to direct our paths. When we make seeking Him a daily habit through prayer, worship, and obedience, He brings unity, clarity, and peace the world cannot imitate.

Joshua’s declaration challenges each of us to examine what truly holds first place in our homes. Are we allowing busyness, comfort, or culture to set the tone? Or are we building our lives on the unshakable foundation of God’s Word?

Putting God first doesn’t mean our homes will be perfect, but it does mean our priorities will be clear. It looks like praying before making decisions, keeping Christ at the center of conversations, and modeling faith for our children.

So today, make this declaration personal: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

← Previous

Next →

He did not place fully formed diamonds into creation. Instead, He created carbon and designed the slow transformation that forms them. Pearls did not exist at the creation of the world. God created clams that would undergo a shaping process over time. Even our Savior did not redeem humanity with the snap of His fingers. Jesus was sent as an infant, grew as one of us, and lived a full earthly life according to the Father’s perfect timing. God’s timing is always intentional.

Think for a moment about how many miracles, teachings, and parables we would not have today if Jesus’ ministry began at His death and ended at His resurrection. This does not diminish the unmatched sacrifice He gave for us. Without His shed blood and resurrection, our hope would be empty. But the journey to the cross gave us countless moments that reveal God’s heart and faithfulness. We read about blind eyes opened, lepers healed, crowds fed, and a friend named Lazarus raised from the dead. Salvation had not yet been accomplished, yet people were blessed simply because they were walking with Jesus.

The promise you are believing for may not be fulfilled yet, but that does not mean God is silent. He is moving in your life with purpose as you stay present with Him. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that those who wait on the Lord are renewed. Waiting is not wasted when God is in it.

As we seek God’s kingdom first during these 21 days, I want to encourage you not to focus only on the destination you hope to reach. Pay attention to what God is doing in you today. The life of Jesus shows us that God works powerfully in the journey and always keeps His promises in His timing.

Many of us find ourselves waiting on a promise. So ask yourself: what in this journey reflects the goodness and timing of God? If you are struggling to see it, look again. He is always good, always present, and always on time. You can trust Him with the destination. And as you seek Him first, His desires become yours, and in due season, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.

← Previous

Next →

With lifelong heart conditions and a pacemaker, I was placed on high-risk and had 13 doctors. There was a lot of fear wrapped up in those nine months regarding my own health, and even though God carried us through with a beautiful, healthy baby boy, that fear lingered long after he arrived. For nearly two years, I was terrified to have more children; even though my husband and I both wanted more. This fear capsized every thought, every plan, or action we had to try again or even think of the future.

My husband and I had prayed throughout that time over this, but we kept it private, never bringing it to the altar, to our friends, mentors, or family. In August of 2025, I decided to bring this to God for the final time. I was exhausted from walking in fear of what should be some of the happiest thoughts and plans. I walked down to the altar and asked a woman on our Prayer Team to pray over me. She reminded me that God had already promised me healing and children - in fact, I’d already seen that happen with my son. After that, I spoke to my family about this freedom I now had, my trusted friends, and no longer had that fear capsizing my thoughts.

James 5 speaks to this freedom and healing given in community. We weren’t created to navigate the hard things alone or to fix ourselves in isolation. God uses leaders, mentors, and trusted friends to help carry what weighs us down and to guide us back toward truth. Being vulnerable with others is not a weakness; it’s an invitation for God to move in ways we couldn’t on our own. When we bring our fears and burdens into the light and allow others to pray, support, and speak truth over us, we step into the fullness of God’s healing. Freedom grows in community, is nurtured by prayer, and is strengthened when others walk with us.

If you’re carrying something today, take one step toward healing. Reach out to someone you trust. Go to the altar. Send the text. Make the call. Be vulnerable in what you are walking through and ask someone to pray with you. If you are unsure where to begin, start with asking God to reveal who that right person might be. Healing does not happen all at once, but it does begin with a single moment of honesty. Don’t walk alone, God made us to walk alongside one another in freedom.

← Previous

Next →

He would stand in front of the TV, barely tall enough to see above the stand, swaying back and forth with one tiny hand lifted. In that moment I knew his love for worship music was the beginning of his love for God.

There is a lie the enemy wants us to believe that children should be seen and not heard, that young people cannot think for themselves or make an impact until they are older or more experienced. Yet Scripture tells a very different story. God does not treat young people as a warm-up act for the future. Psalm 8:2 says, “Through the praise of children and infants You have established a stronghold.” The worship of a child is not simply cute or heartwarming. It is purposeful and powerful. It establishes strength. It silences the enemy. Even at one and a half years old, my son carried spiritual authority. His praise had weight. His innocence carried victory.

The Now Generation is not tomorrow’s church. They are part of what God is doing right now. There is no smaller or partial version of the Holy Spirit for those under eighteen. What if our prayers became bold enough to empower them, support them, teach them, and guide them with intention and expectation? Children are not waiting for a platform. They stand on one every day in classrooms, on sports fields, in friend groups, and on playgrounds. God is already raising up their voices to declare His greatness where they are.

Psalm 145:4 says, “One generation commends Your works to another; they tell of Your mighty acts.” This means parents, leaders, and adults have a calling to do more than hope for the next generation. We must intentionally lead them toward Jesus today. Kids and students are not simply the future of the church. They are the heartbeat of what God is doing in this moment.

Will you add your voice to theirs as we declare the mighty acts of God from one generation to the next? Will you intercede for them and pray they continue to lift their voices and their hands?

The time is now. The generation is now.

← Previous

Next →

In an instant, everything changed. Her heart stopped and a code blue was called. She needed a very specific emergency surgery that only one doctor in the hospital was trained to perform.

At that exact moment, that specialist had just finished a surgery on the second floor and was walking down the stairs near the Cath lab. Because he was right there at the perfect time, they were able to rush her into the OR and save her life. Even a delay that morning caused by missing paperwork, which pushed the surgery back, ended up being part of God’s timing. If the procedure had begun earlier, the doctor she needed would not have been available. Looking back, it was clear that God was already ahead of every detail. He used a leader with the right skill at precisely the right moment.

Scripture shows us that God often works this way with government leaders. This is why 1 Timothy 2 instructs us to pray and intercede for those in authority. God has the final say, and He can use leaders in ways we may not see or understand.

During the birth of Jesus, Herod the Great issued a decree that caused great harm, yet God used that moment to move Joseph and Mary into the very place prophecy had spoken of. Years later, Herod Antipas, his son, was drawn into the decision about Jesus’ crucifixion. Although he believed Jesus should be released, the events still unfolded according to God’s plan. Both leaders made different decisions, yet God used each one to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah. His timing was exact, and His purpose was never threatened.

As we continue these 21 Days of Prayer, let us make it a priority to pray for our government leaders. Romans 13:1–2 reminds us that no authority exists except what God has established. Our prayers matter. They help align our hearts with God’s authority and invite His purposes to be fulfilled in our nation.

God is in control. He always knows what He is doing.

← Previous

Next →

Everywhere we look, whether on the news or scrolling through social media, we see hurt, confusion, and division in our communities. More than ever, this world needs Jesus. With so many distractions and competing voices pulling at us, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But one thing remains certain: if we let Him, God can handle it. He can move, He can heal, and He can restore if we let Him.

That is the million-dollar posture: “IF WE LET HIM.”

Scripture gives us a clear picture of what that posture looks like. In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

This is God’s blueprint for revival. It does not start out there. It starts in us. It begins with humility. It begins with surrender. It begins with choosing His way over our own.

The truth is, sometimes we get in the way of what God wants to do. But if we long to see revival in our nation, in our communities, and even in our own hearts, Scripture tells us exactly where it begins: with God’s people humbling themselves, praying, seeking, and turning. When we step aside and let God lead, He promises to heal the land.

The enemy loves to whisper lies that try to disqualify us and keep us from stepping into our calling. But God wants to use His people, including you, as conduits of change and carriers of revival.

So if you are reading this, be encouraged. There is a calling on your life. You were created to make an impact. And when you surrender to Jesus, He can do more through you than you ever imagined.

Revival is now. Revival starts with you.
Let’s step aside, humble ourselves, seek His face, and let God move.

← Previous

Next →

When God gives a vision, He always gives the provision. In every situation and every season, He is enough!

But the truth is, God often shows us the vision long before He shows us the resources. He reveals the direction before He reveals the details. That gap between what He promised and what we can currently see is where our faith is stretched. It’s where the enemy whispers that we don’t have enough and we aren’t enough. Yet God promises something entirely different.

Philippians 4:19 reminds us that God Himself takes responsibility for meeting our needs. Paul wrote these words to a generous church, assuring them that the same God who stirred their hearts to step out would also supply everything required for the journey. God never calls you to a vision and then leaves you on your own to figure it out. Whatever He authors, He supports.

Scripture is filled with moments where provision arrived exactly when it was needed. Abraham discovered God’s faithfulness on the mountain and named the place “The Lord Will Provide.” Elijah received food in a famine from sources no one could have predicted. A small lunch placed in Jesus’ hands was multiplied until thousands were fed. In every story, God provided as His people obeyed.

You may be facing a vision today that feels bigger than your resources. You may feel like you’re stepping out with more questions than answers. Take courage. The God who gave the vision already has the provision on the way!

Lord, thank You that You provide for every vision You place in my heart. You are Jehovah Jireh! Strengthen my faith to trust You before I see the supply. Help me walk in obedience, confident that You will meet every need in Your perfect timing. Amen!

← Previous

Next →

A new year offers endless possibilities—new starts, new beginnings, fresh vision. And I love how our church prioritizes prayer every January. It is, without a doubt, one of the greatest keys to experiencing God’s best in your life.

But as we pray, it’s important that we pray the right way—prayers filled with wisdom, faith, and expectation. Tucked away in the genealogies of Scripture in 1 Chronicles, we find the prayer of Jabez. In nine chapters of names, there’s almost no commentary, until suddenly the Bible pauses and highlights one man. Let’s look at why.

The name Jabez means “pain” or “sorrow.” He began life with a label—pain. His name carried a story of limitation, disappointment, and struggle. But instead of settling into that identity, he lifted his eyes and prayed a bold, specific prayer: “…Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory! Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.”

This is more than a verse—it’s a model. Jabez refused to let his past define his future. He prayed beyond what he saw, beyond what he felt, and beyond what others had spoken over him. And Scripture concludes with this powerful line: “…And God granted his request.”

As we step into 2026, God doesn’t want us to play it safe. He doesn’t want us beginning this year with small expectations or a mindset that settles for the same as last year. God calls us to pray like Jabez—to believe Him for new territory.

As a church, that’s exactly how we’re praying: “God, enlarge our territory.” And in that prayer, we’re not simply asking for bigger rooms or additional locations. We’re asking for more people to be reached with the Gospel. More families connected to God’s house. More leaders raised for Kingdom impact. A new year can bring an opportunity for new dreams and fresh vision. God is always wanting to do a new thing in our lives and in our hearts. It can be easy to feel discouraged or defeated in moments of uncertainty or the unknown. But even when we are confused or don’t see it, God is up to something. God is moving. God challenges us to declare vision for our lives.

Habakkuk 2:2–3 (ESV) says, “And the Lord answered me: ‘Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.’”

Habakkuk was in a season of discouragement and confusion. He was crying out to God to give him answers or direction, and God responds with these instructions.

God tells him to write down the vision. Today, we challenge you to think about the vision for your life. What are the dreams and desires the Lord has given you? Now write it down. Declare it. By writing it down, we can transform the vision from an idea into a direction.

God also tells him to make it plain. Sometimes we feel like we need these big grandiose plans and dreams. And while there is space for those, there is also value in the simple, clear, and concise. What is one thing you can do this year? Plain vision produces powerful action.

God has an appointed time. Now that you have a vision and direction and have written it down – remain faithful. The timing has already been determined by the all-knowing, all-powerful God. Even if the waiting is hard, have faith and confidence that at the perfect time, God will bring it to pass.

Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

This year, let us push forward in doing good. Keep serving, keep loving people, keep chasing after Jesus, and there will be a season where you will be dancing in the victories that God has given you. There will be a season where the visions you have declared today will come forth.

← Previous

Next →

Maybe you’ve noticed it too, how we start picking up the attitudes, habits, and even the language of the people we spend the most time with. The same is true in our relationship with God. When we choose to seek Him, His character begins to transform us from the inside out.

But if we’re honest, many of us spend more time trying to act like Jesus than actually being with Jesus. We measure ourselves by how patient, joyful, or gentle we are, yet we’re slow to simply sit with the One who produces that fruit in us. The pressure to perform creeps in, and before we know it, we’re tired, discouraged, or feeling like we don’t measure up.

The good news? God never asked us to produce fruit on our own. He invites us to draw near because His character is the source of everything we long to see in our lives.

Galatians 5:22–23 isn’t just a list of qualities for us to strive for. It’s a picture of God’s own heart. He is love. He is joy. He is peace. Every attribute listed as “fruit of the Spirit” is who God has always been, and when the Spirit lives in us, He begins to cultivate those same qualities, not by our effort, but by His presence.

Jesus said in John 15:5 (NIV), “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” Fruit doesn’t grow by trying harder. It grows by staying connected. When we seek God’s character, we begin to reflect who He is in ways we never could on our own.

Slowly and consistently, the Spirit reshapes what doesn’t look like Jesus.

Here’s the promise: When you seek Him, He responds. James 4:8 (ESV) says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” The Spirit is faithful to produce in you that you cannot produce yourself.

Today, pause and ask: Which part of God’s character do I need to lean into? As you seek Him first, trust that He is already at work, shaping you to look more like Jesus one day at a time.

← Previous

Next →

I don’t need to turn on the light.” Two steps later, we find the coffee table with our shin or our big toe! Ouch! Suddenly, the light doesn’t feel optional anymore.

That is a picture of how many of us approach life. We assume we know the way. We rely on experience, instincts, or good intentions, and we move forward without asking God for direction. Then we wonder why things hurt more than expected.

Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God never intended for us to walk in the dark. His Word is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. Notice that it does not say His Word is a massive LED floodlight for the entire future. It is a lamp. It gives enough light for the next step. And that is usually all we need.

We often want God to reveal the whole plan before we obey. But God invites us to open His Word daily and let it guide us step by step. When we seek Scripture, we are not just reading words on a page but we are receiving wisdom, correction, comfort, and direction for real life decisions.

Jesus modeled this kind of dependence on God’s Word. When He faced temptation, pressure, and uncertainty, He responded with Scripture. He knew that truth anchors us when emotions and circumstances try to lead us instead. (Matthew 4:1–11)

The more we seek God’s Word, the less often we stumble through life relying on guesswork. His Word trains us to recognize His voice and trust His guidance. You may not know everything that lies ahead, but you do not have to walk blindly. We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we do know who holds tomorrow! God is in control.

Before you take another step today, turn on the light. Open His Word. Let God guide your path!

Prayer: Lord, help me slow down and seek You in Your Word. Give me wisdom for today and courage to follow the light You provide. Amen.

← Previous

Next →

Instead of having testimonies to share of others I've lead to Christ, I have stories of people calling me inappropriate names, abandonment, and me watching loved ones I've bought Christmas gifts for throw them unopened into the trash. The enemy had me convinced I was ineffective in sharing Jesus because of their reactions and I let him silence me for years.

That of course was not true. It wasn't about me being ineffective, it was about the spiritual state and condition of that person's heart. In Luke 19 we find the story of Zacchaeus. He was a lost tax collector who had heard about Jesus and was very curious about Him. He climbed a tree to get a glimpse of Jesus, and when Jesus saw him, he told him I must be a guest in your house. Salvation came to Zacchaeus' house that night. Jesus' purpose has always been to seek and save the lost from an eternal life without Him.

Sometimes the people we talk to about Jesus will have their hearts stirred already, like Zacchaeus. They've heard about Jesus, they're curious to know more and may intentionally seek you out because you know Jesus. But sometimes the people you talk to may have hardened hearts. They may have never heard of him, or they have heard of him and want nothing to do with him. Let me encourage you: you sharing Jesus may not be what they WANT to hear, but it's what they NEED to hear. They may not recognize that they are lost, and they need someone to help guide them. It can be uncomfortable and their reactions may not be what you were expecting. But if you are obedient in sharing the gospel, the seed of God's truth will be planted in them and God will water it at just the right time. Trust that God is working in them, even if they don't receive what you say. After all, it's God that does the work in them, not us.

Do you live with Jesus' purpose to save the lost? If we are to be followers of Jesus, that needs to be our purpose too.

Think of one person today that you can share Jesus with and step out in faith by reaching out to them this week. No matter what the outcome may be, hearing about Jesus is what they need!

← Previous

Next →

If you’re anything like me, you probably reach for your phone before you even realize you’re doing it. If I want to know what year a movie came out, what fabric my sweater is made of, or the best way to slice an onion without crying, I look it up instantly. There’s something so instantly gratifying about having information at your fingertips.

But life isn’t always like that. When I’m unsure about a major life decision, I can’t type it into a search bar and expect a step-by-step plan. When someone comes to me for guidance or comfort, I can’t respond with, “Hold on, let me look that up real quick.” Those moments require something deeper. They require wisdom.

The challenging part is, we aren’t born wise. Wisdom is shaped through time, experience, relationships, and often through trials. But the good news is that God doesn’t make us walk through life dependent on our limited experience or our history of mistakes. He invites us to tap into His wisdom that is perfect, complete, and lacking nothing.

James 1:5 (NIV) tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” He doesn’t withhold. He doesn’t shame us for not knowing enough. He gives wisdom freely, generously, and joyfully.

Scripture also reminds us in Proverbs 2:6 (ESV) that God is the source of all understanding. It says, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” God’s wisdom isn’t just information; it’s direction. It’s clarity. It’s peace. It’s discernment that goes beyond what we see and reaches into what God already holds.

So where do you need wisdom today? Are you asking the Lord for clarity, or are you stuck cycling through the same patterns, hoping your experiences alone will teach you what to do? Are you leaning on your own understanding or inviting God to guide your next step?

During these 21 days of prayer is the perfect opportunity to ask the Lord for guidance in your situation, or to ask Him to elevate certain areas of your life where you might lack wisdom. The beautiful promise is that wisdom isn’t something you have to earn, it’s something God wants to give. All you have to do is seek it out.

← Previous

Next →

On our own, forgiveness feels impossible. Our hearts rehearse the hurt. Our minds justify holding on. Our emotions resist letting go. But Scripture never asks us to forgive in our own strength. It calls us to seek His.

Psalm 105:4 tells us to “look to the Lord and His strength,” and forgiveness is one of the places we need that strength most. Forgiving someone isn’t about pretending the pain didn’t matter. It’s about choosing not to let the pain define us. And that choice requires a power deeper than willpower. It requires the Holy Spirit.

In John 20:22–23, Jesus breathed on His disciples and gave them the Holy Spirit before commissioning them to forgive. Why? Because forgiveness is a supernatural act. It takes Holy Spirit to soften what’s hardened, to heal what’s broken, and to empower what feels impossible. The Holy Spirit doesn’t just help us forgive, He transforms our hearts until forgiveness becomes the overflow of His work within us.

Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” We forgive because we’ve been forgiven, but we are able to forgive because Holy Spirit strengthens us to do what our flesh refuses.

Maybe there’s someone you need to forgive today. Maybe it feels too heavy, too painful, too unfair. Here’s the good news: God never asks you to carry this alone. When you seek His face, He meets you with the grace, courage, and supernatural strength you cannot manufacture on your own.

As you walk into today, invite Holy Spirit into the places where forgiveness feels impossible. Let Him help you release what’s been gripping your heart. His strength is enough, and where His Spirit is, freedom follows.

← Previous

Next →

He was perfect. Shortly after he was born, the nurse took him from us so he could be examined and weighed. He was crying, showing us he was not happy about this. My husband walked over and said, "Hey buddy." Through the poking and prodding he stopped crying in an instant. He KNEW his dad's voice.

My son had spent 9 months listening to our voices all day everyday. He was in close proximity to us. Proximity simply means nearness. The same is true in our relationship with God. When you walk in close proximity to God, when you’re near Him, His voice becomes familiar, not a distant whisper, but the steady call of someone you know deeply.

John 10:27 says, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

“My sheep listen to my voice.” Jesus refers to us as His sheep. He is saying we listen to his voice, but we have to know his voice to listen.

“I know them.” This speaks to relationship and intimacy. Jesus knows us deeply. He knows our needs, our desires, our struggles, and our hearts.

“And they follow me.” When we truly recognize and know Jesus’s voice, it leads to action.

I love that Jesus uses the analogy of a shepherd and sheep. When sheep are in proximity to their shepherd, they learn to trust his voice; they respond because they know they can trust the call. Your proximity to God determines how clearly you can sense His presence and hear His voice.

How familiar is God’s voice to you right now? Today I encourage you to draw near to God. Seek His Voice. John 10:27 is about relationship, recognition and response. Today is the day to draw so close in proximity to God that His voice becomes the most familiar sound in your life.

← Previous

Next →

Before you consider it, don’t. Every day we feel its warmth and see its light, yet staring at it head on is nearly impossible. It’s true form is always present, always sustaining life, but rarely something we can behold without pain.

Recently, I was driving on a misty morning when something unexpected happened. As I glanced toward the sky, the thick fog softened the sun’s intensity just enough for me to see its perfect shape; clear, defined, and gentle. For a brief moment, the mist revealed what the brightness normally concealed. But as the fog lifted, the sun’s form disappeared again into brilliance too strong to gaze upon.

That moment stayed with me because it reminded me of Jesus. He is our Light (John 8:12). He is our warmth and peace (John 16:33). But unlike the sun, when we look toward Him, when we seek His true nature, there is no danger, no pain, no mystery that harms us. The more clearly we see Jesus, the more His goodness is revealed. The “mist” of life’s trials doesn’t hide Him; in fact, those very moments often help us see Him more distinctly.

In the fog of hardship, His nature becomes unmistakable:

There is joy…

“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 (NLT)

There is healing…

“He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 (NLT)

There is restoration…

“In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” 1 Peter 5:10 (NLT)

And in Him, there is so much more.

There will be days when you feel alone, abandoned, or unsure of your way. But just as the sun never disappears, even when hidden by clouds, Jesus’ presence never fades. His character remains constant, steady, and good. So when life feels misty, look toward Him. He is always with you.

← Previous

Next →

For a year, I struggled with whether or not it was really what we were supposed to do.

I’ll never forget, I was stopped at a red light and tears poured down my face! “God! If you’ll just tell me what you want us to do, we’ll do it!” In that moment, I heard the Holy Spirit speak to my heart, “Anything that remains on the vine outside of its season will rot.” It was then I knew that we had to take this giant leap of faith.

So often we ask God for direction, but then when He gives it, we hesitate. We strategize. We reroute. We rely on our limited perspective, and then we wonder why we feel lost.

Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to a different posture. Trust. Surrender. Dependence. God invites us to “seek His will in all you do.” Not just in spiritual moments, not only in emergencies, but in all things.

When we seek Him first, He promises to direct our path. The God who sees the end from the beginning is willing to guide us step by step. Scripture reinforces this again in Psalm 32:8 NLT: “The Lord says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.’”

Seeking His will is not about perfection. It is about posture. The posture of a heart that says, “God, You lead. I will follow.”

Today, make a conscious shift from any need for tangible assurances to God dependence.

Take one decision you are currently wrestling with and surrender it to Him in prayer. Ask Him, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then pause long enough to listen. And brave enough to step out into the unknown.

Open His Word. Journal what you sense Him speaking. Talk with a mature believer who can help you discern His direction.

And as you take your next step, do it with trust. God is not hiding His will from you. Jesus is hungry, but He is not led by His flesh. Instead of giving in to appetite, He responds with Scripture and makes His priority clear: obedience to God.

Jesus shows us that fasting isn’t about ignoring hunger; it’s about focusing on what truly sustains us.

When we fast, we intentionally set aside comfort, cravings, and distractions to pursue God more fully. God knows our greatest danger isn’t being hungry, it’s letting our appetite dictate our obedience. Every one of us is constantly at war with the flesh. Fasting is saying no to what feeds the flesh so we can say yes to what feeds the Spirit.

Fasting reminds us, that our desires don’t command us the Spirit of God does. So, as we fast, don’t let our prayer be, “God, change my circumstances,” but, “God, change me.”

← Previous

Next →

The moment he turns a corner and spots me sitting there, his whole face lights up. He bursts into laughter, proud that he “found” me, and before I can even stand up, he’s already asking to play again.

Sometimes it takes him a little longer to find me. I watch him wander around the house with his tiny footsteps and determined expression, checking the same room twice just to be sure. But here’s the truth—while he may feel like he’s searching, I have never actually left him. Even while I’m “hiding,” I’m keeping a close eye on him. And if I notice he’s starting to get frustrated or unsure, I’ll gently call his name. Immediately, he stops, turns toward the sound of my voice, and that spark of joy rushes back into his eyes.

I can’t help but think about how similar this is to our walk with Jesus. He invites us to seek Him—not because He is far away, but because seeking reorients our hearts back toward the only One who can satisfy. He has never left us. He has never stopped watching over us. Yet we often wander through our days looking for fulfillment, answers, or peace in places that were never meant to carry that weight. We become distracted, busy, overwhelmed—and all the while, His presence is near, waiting to be found.

Jeremiah 29:13 tells us, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Seeking Him “with all your heart” means intentionally turning toward Him, quieting the noise, and tuning our ears back to His voice.

That’s what 21 Days of Prayer is all about. It’s a reset—a dedicated space to realign our hearts, refocus our minds, and intentionally seek the presence of God. As you pray today, slow down. Sit still for a moment. Whisper His name. Open His Word. Listen for His gentle voice calling you back, reminding you that He is near, He is faithful, and He is ready to be found the moment you turn toward Him.

← Previous

Next →

Life was no longer just about me; it was about my wife and our family. The same thing happens when we surrender our hearts to Jesus. Our priorities shift. It’s no longer about our comfort or our preferences. It’s about choosing Him above everything else.

God isn’t interested in being one of our preferences. He wants to be our priority.

In Exodus 20, God gives the Ten Commandments, and the very first one is, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” Idol worship isn’t just about bowing down to a statue or a false god. It’s about putting anything before God.

Idols don’t look like golden calves today. They look like control, convenience, and comfort. And comfort might just be one of the greatest idols of our generation. Too often, we won’t sacrifice our comfort to pursue what God has called us to.

As we step into these 21 days of prayer, this is our opportunity to prove that God truly has first place in our lives. Let’s pour into our relationship with Him, build our prayer life, dig into His Word, and realign our hearts.

Two of the greatest indicators of your priorities are your calendar and your budget. If you looked at where your time and money are going, would it show that God holds the top spot in your life?

But here’s the good news. When we choose to seek God first, He always meets us there. James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” If we seek Him, He always welcomes us with open arms. He’s faithful to meet us right where we are. The best news of all is that he never turns us away.

I believe with all my heart, when we put God first, everything else falls into its proper place. So, seek Him FIRST!

Next →
