What Is Worship?
Worship is not simply using the talents God has given us to make music and sing songs while at church. Worship is anything and everything we do in our life that brings glory to the Lord because of who He is. We were created to worship Christ! The Bible has quite a bit to say about the significance of worship and how we should be worshipping:
Psalm 71.8 (ESV): “My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all the day.”
Colossians 3:16 (ESV): “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Isaiah 12:4 (ESV): “And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.”
Psalm 95.6 (ESV): “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!”
When we worship, we should always be declaring the incredible worth of God and magnifying Him, and that is what we aim to do here at Lakeside! Our church is incredibly passionate about worship, and we consider ourselves so blessed to be able to praise God every single week as the body of Christ.
Sunday mornings are powerful, but they are far from being the only time we should be worshipping God! We take the first Wednesday night of each month to gather at our Oakland Campus and do nothing but worship. That’s why we call our worship nights “First Wednesday”! We hope you’ll consider joining us for a night of praise and fellowship at our next First Wednesday!

WELCOME TO LAKESIDE KIDS!
Safety is the backbone of this ministry, so when families arrive for the first time, and subsequently thereafter, Lakeside Kids volunteers will register and issue coded labels for parents and their children. Children will not be allowed into a classroom without a label generated from the Check-In desk. Lakeside Kids endeavors to provide a welcoming environment for children and their families.
Lakeside Kids offers a place where children from 6 weeks through 5th grade can discover and develop a passion for God. Through worship, teaching, and a variety of fun activities, children are exposed to God’s Word and challenged to grow in their relationship with God!
Your children will be taught Biblical truths and practical lessons presented through a video Bible lesson followed by guided discussion with their Small Group. The learning focus for their grade level will be taught by their Small Group leader, and their group will work together on learning objectives like memorizing Scripture and understanding Biblical principles.
YOUR FIRST VISIT
From babies to fifth graders, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience.
When you arrive, our team will happily show you the way to the children’s area. You’ll go to kids check-in where you can tell us a little about your family to help us serve you well. On our check-in form we’ll ask things like what allergies your child may have, how many children are in your family, and get your contact information.
Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the service, you’ll see your child’s code on the screen. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service.
We believe the best way we can help your kids develop a strong spiritual foundation is by partnering with you. Together, we can help encourage, train, and pray for them as they grow in their faith.
Here are some practical ways you can help us make the most of your child’s time spent at church:
-Pick a consistent service time and location to help your kids build a relationship with their leader and other kids their age.
-Practice the current memory verse with your kids.
-Stay connected to Lakeside Kids by following us on Facebook.
-Pray for your children each week as they come to church, and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids.
WE WANT YOUR KIDS TO LOVE CHURCH!
That’s why we are committed to creating safe and fun environments where your children are taught about the Bible and the love of Jesus through relevant, age-appropriate kids services. Our ultimate hope is to see a generation of children come to know God at an early age.
We love God because God is love and He first loved us.
We love people because God loves all people.
DO YOUR BEST
When we do our best then God will take care of everything else!
We have fun because God gives us joy!
We are so excited that you are considering baptism for your child! Every child can have a personal relationship with Jesus, and in Lakeside Kids we encourage them to make a decision to follow Him. Our children are encouraged to not just learn about Jesus but learn from Him by walking with Him every day (I Corinthians 12:13).
We advise parents to wait until their child is asking to be water baptized. This is usually a good indication that they are ready to be baptized and that it will be a spiritual milestone in their life. While younger children under the age of seven can have a relationship with Jesus, they will not necessarily remember or understand the significance of the event, so we encourage parents to wait for baptism until they are a little older.
Water baptism is just an outward picture of what Jesus has done for you on the inside. Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and then was raised from the dead! As you are talking to your children about water baptism we would encourage you to use this baptism guide to start your conversation!

The joy of Jesus’ birth was shared with the people in the house of God. Joseph and Mary brought Jesus to the temple to be presented to God (Luke 2:21-40). Long before this time, godly parents presented their children to God. And to this day, the practice is still done to ask God’s blessing.
For these reasons, Christian parents are encouraged to dedicate their children to God. During this Christian Child Dedication service, a beautiful and solemn promise is made before God and the Church to care for this child as unto God.
At Lakeside, we believe that child dedication is a public vow that you are making to God before His people that you will raise your child in the faith until the time that your child is old enough to understand what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus and make that decision on their own.

6 WEEKS / 12 MONTHS & 1-2 YEARS
We keep our Lakeside Babies rooms ready with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between services. We have designated rooms for ages 6 weeks to 12 months, and a room for 1 to 2-year-olds. We strive to win the confidence of every parent by caring for babies as if they were our own. During service we play, feed and change the children in our safe and relaxed classrooms.
Lakeside Minis class serves 2 and 3-year-olds. Our goal is to assist you in laying down the foundational lessons in the Bible. We gently introduce the teachings of the Bible in a way that is understood for this age. We begin to introduce structured lessons within our Minis classrooms in the form of Praise and Worship, bible lesson, and snack time. We encourage our kids to grow relationships with their teachers and the other kids in the classroom.
4 YEARS OLD & PRESCHOOL
Lakeside Jrs. is where the 4-year-olds and preschoolers learn more about God’s Word! Our focus is to care and introduce them to the Gospel, and demonstrating worship. This is the age that kids start to engage more with their church experience, so we help them interact and build their faith through stories, crafts, and songs that give them Biblical truths.
KINDERGARTEN - 5th GRADE
Every weekend, your kids will experience dynamic worship and teaching from the Bible. They will spend a portion of their time in a Small Group experience to give them the benefit of a consistent Group Leader and interaction with kids their age. Together, they learn about the Bible and how to have a relationship with God, memorize Scripture, and have fun developing friendships with each other.
At Lakeside we believe that we aren’t a church with a student ministry, we are a student ministry. Our heart is that students are growing in their relationship with God, discovering their purpose, making a difference, and connected to the local church.
Every 3rd Wednesday our Students come together for a fun, engaging worship experience with a student-focused message and a hype after-party! It’s an exciting environment that is the perfect opportunity for Students to invite their friends to church. Join us every 3rd Wednesday at 7pm!
On 2nd, 4th, and 5th Wednesday’s our students will meet in City Groups. These groups are designed for students to do life together, and grow in their relationship with God.

Serve the City
We exist to serve God by serving others. By bringing the church to the people, we meet needs within our community and enjoy sharing Christ’s sphere of influence. Simple acts of kindness can open hearts to the love of Jesus for both those being served and those serving. The Lakeside Outreach Serve team is made up of individuals who are using their gifts and talents to glorify God by serving others.
We want every person who is passionate about helping people to find the right opportunities to effectively use their gifts to build up the body of Christ and extend the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 20:28 “…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Every year on Serve Day, we partner with ARC churches all over the globe to go out into our community and show the love of Jesus Christ. Serve Day kicks off the year of serving and opens the door to new connections and opportunities for the Sons and Daughters of the house to serve.
Serve Day occurs on the 2nd Saturday of July each year.
FEEDING THE HOMELESS
Every month this ministry serves those who are less fortunate and find themselves homeless. They provide food and resources to those in need.
This is the Lakeside food pantry that is available on a regular basis for those who are in need of food. Malachi 3:10 says “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty.” (NIV)
At Lakeside Church, we support missions all across the globe.
