What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. It’s the imagery of us dying to our old self and resurrecting into our new life in Christ. Baptism is not salvation; it’s not your ticket to heaven. Jesus can only do that for us.
Romans 10:9 says, "If we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth, we will be saved." Baptism is a celebration of salvation, the decision that you’ve already made to follow Christ. It is a step of obedience.

Acts 2:38
Peter instructs the people to "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit".
Matthew 28:19
