Our Pastors
Jason & Caroline Hitte
Jason Hitte Sr. is the founder and Lead Pastor of Lakeside Church in Central Florida. Following his ten years of service as a dedicated law enforcement officer, God called Pastor Jason and his wife Caroline, to help people learn the truth of His Word and walk in the freedom that is made available to us through Jesus. Beginning as a new church plant with a handful of families, Lakeside has since experienced remarkable growth and is now one of the most thriving multicultural and multigenerational churches in the Greater Orlando area.
Lakeside launched its second campus, as well as its online campus in 2020. In 2023, Outreach Magazine named Lakeside the 6th fastest-growing church in the nation, with over 4,000 people engaging in our weekly services. To extend the reach of the gospel, Pastor Jason’s dynamic messages of grace and truth are featured on a local Christian broadcasting network that serves 3.8 million people in nine counties throughout Central Florida.
Pastor Jason graduated from Southeastern University in 2007, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Leadership. He and Caroline have been married since 1995; together they have three children and seven grandchildren. They share a heart for people; loving them where they are and leading them into an authentic relationship with Jesus.

Core Values
Our values hold us accountable to the mission of Lakeside Church. Each of these values define the culture that makes up our family.
LOVE GOD
We love God because of who He is and what He has done for us through His Son, Jesus. Everything we do at Lakeside flows from our deep love for God.
LOVE PEOPLE
We love all people from all backgrounds, regardless of their circumstances. As we love others properly, we fulfill the complete Law of God.
PURSUE EXCELLENCE
We strive to pursue excellence in everything that we do in an effort to reflect the glory of our most excellent God.
SERVE WITH JOY
We serve with joy to follow the example of Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve.
Our Beliefs
THE BIBLE
The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).
GOD
We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons (Trinity), Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11).
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5).
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He draws people to God through the saving work of Christ and convicts mankind of sin. He regenerates their heart and permanently dwells within them when they place their trust in Jesus. His ongoing work is to guide, instruct, and empower the Christian for godly living and service.
WE ARE GOD'S CREATION
God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from Him (Genesis 1:26-31, Romans 5:12, Colossians 1:21-22).
SALVATION
We believe that Jesus Christ died as the substitution for our sin and paid the death penalty that we owed. No amount of good works or human effort can restore us from our state of eternal separation from God. It is only by God’s grace that we are rescued from this state of alienation, and this grace is appropriated by a change of heart toward God’s leadership in our lives and by faith in Jesus to forgive our sins (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22).
THE CHURCH
The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus' Great Commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23).
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
We believe that transformation, growth, and a changed life are evidence of a person’s connection to God. As we continue to pursue a real relationship with God, He will continue to change us to become more like Christ. But, it requires our willingness and intentionality. At the Lakeside Church, we accomplish this by teaching people to “Love God, Love People, Pursue Excellence, and Serve with Joy.”
